San Antonio is a very strange and dangerous place.But the city won’t tell you that.Thousands of homeless in various states of mental illness roam the streets both in the day and night.I guess it is acceptable because you don’t hear much from the corporate media or the politicians,why? because they don’t care.For the last few nights I have been on a journey as a “homeless man” and I’ll tell you it’s disgusting and very dangerous.

Until the city of San Antonio does something about this and they can very easily I WOULD NOT bring my family to San Antonio to visit.Do I want to hurt the city NO.But do I think it is a safe place to VISIT absolutely NOT.Maybe when the politicians have their little tourist racket threatened then maybe they will do something.I doubt it but we shall see.

They city has the resources and facilities available at abandoned Air Force bases that they can house these people and help people get back on their feet.San Antonio has always been a low paying city but these people many who should be institutionalized  are abandoned.Even many of  the people that work with the homeless don’t give a damn.Yesterday I spoke with a guy at the Fancy new building that Goodwill has,where they sell clothes donated by the fortunate and where does all that money go? Believe me his answers were WEAK at best.I’m sure he is making 50 g a yr or more.

They have a work program which isn’t a work program it is a legal way to not pay people what they should be paid for slaving for the corporate entity they should be ashamed of themselves and they need to be exposed.

There are some church groups trying but you can’t fight fire with gasoline.Feeding a man then closing the door on him does nothing but help keep him on the street.I don’t know the solution short of declaring an emergency it is THAT BAD.Watch your back when your downtown San Antonio.

TOP TEN places in America to do business,Yes because of the cheap labor.Other then that if I had a big corporation I wouldn’t want me employees and guests exposed to what downtown San Antonio has become.

Unfortunately the politicians here work for themselves.What the hell is a politician anyway?Who do these people think they are.I only wish George Washington could come back he would send most to the hangman that’s for sure.It is treason to cater to corporate entities and leave your own people on the street like dogs.

Well let me tell you I have some friends that have traffic exchanges and I could pretty easily use one of the php scripts that I have an go through all the hassle and headaches and get some traffic but why bother? Well today’s the day and it’s horrifying to think about all hate and violence in the world.Blogcatalaog.com has organized a day for many of their members to use the power of numbers to blog about various issues.I  watch about all these terrible things happening and often wonder why humans do horrible things to each other.Is there anything I can do?

I live in San Antonio where Blogcatalog is actually located and gave some careful thought about what I wanted to post about.  As it concerns human rights.I’m not an isolationist per se but I know when I go downtown I see countless people suffering.Right here,right in front of my eyes I see young children having very limited opportunities,I see their parents struggle to even eat.I see murders reported just about everyday.There’s an estimated 24,000 people homeless in San Antonio.Recently the local politicians wanted and got a ridiculous amount of money to waste on buildings $140 million they were very proud.These politicians ought to be ashamed of themselves to say the least.

So what am I going to do?Well there’s literally 1000’s of young people here that I watch constantly get caught up in all gangs,drugs and violence.I watch as they change,it’s sad.I’d like to get a little coffee shop right here where I live to let young people come and hang out and learn about the internet.To have a positive atmosphere to be a geek.I do not know one young person here that’s into computers and maybe using that as a way to avoid low paying jobs and a cycle of poverty,gangs and drugs and violence.

  I also have a blog that I need to work on a lot more http://sanantonioriverwalknews.com I’d like to get that blog (or another one) in a position to make enough so I can rent a small apt and host one or two homeless guys for say 90 days.I found most homeless have had family and drug problems,an apt would be a great step in helping a guy get back on his feet.I’m close to doing that now.I have spoke to a few guys downtown and see how this could really help.Even if just one man uses that time to get his head together and get back on track that would maybe bring a father back to some kid.

When I talk to my son’s friends he’s 11 I noticed that they have one thing in common,except for my son NONE of them have their father living with them.Loosing my own father to murder at the age 10 had a major impact on my life.So that’s what I’m going to do focus on my own backyard and do my best to help my fellow man,I can think of no better way to honor human rights then by starting right here,right now.

  Well I had planned to go to the Start Up in San Antonio this week.I may not be able to make it there after all.I have to call back tomorrow to confirm my answer which will be yes,unless I’m dead and not able to call:).

So what’s that mean ?Hmm well my financial situation will be a lot different and I’m sure that will make life even better.I will be off-line for a few days as I will be traveling.I guess that will be a good break.I guess spending the last six months working on my "lil" project has apparently paid off.

The only thing that I like about that is I will be able to get some better computers and that’s about all I need.Locked and Loaded.I’m also going to make this programming capsule I can sit in and really rock.Distractions are very hard to deal with when your in the zone.I also am going to make my own mouse and have it on a hat or pair of glasses so I can blink and click and blink,it takes way to much time to do things this way.Oh and on a final note today I recieved a rejection notice from clickbooth and told Sara I would post about how they really suck and who needs them really but since I’m a nice guy actually I wish them well.We’ll see if I’m still mister cuddles Friday when my pockets are full.That will be the question you know the world changes John Sullivan doesn’t.see everyone late Friday night ciao..
